Lye Soap -Unscented

Just like our Great-Great Grandma's use to make! Nothing is added, no color or fragrance.

Lye soap is known to help stop the spread of poison ivy or oak. No added scent. This soap prduces a mild creamy lather! Great for Dry Sensitive Skin.

PLEASE NOTE: While this unscented soap is labeled 'Lye' soap, it actually does not contain any lye. It is called lye soap because it contains nothing but tallow, lye & water, no added nut butters.

Once the lye/water mixture is combined with the tallow, it under goes a process called Saponification, in which the mixture undergoes a chemical process, and the mixture becomes soap.

No lye remains in the soap once this chemical reaction is complete. What remains is a very mild bar of soap which produces A LOT of wonderful lather, without added perfumes or oils.
